Methodist Churches of Long Beach Island, NJ

Home

Feeling the need to communicate with God and to sing praises, a dozen or so people met on the beach on a Sunday evening in 1910 after the train had departed. This was the beginning of the church in Beach Haven Terrace.

Mission: To proclaim and preach the Gospel in a way that will lead our community to Christ and enable us to fulfill our Christian commitment.

“Where strangers become friends, and friends become family.”

Serving Methodism for over 121 years

Burned to the ground in 1932, the church was rebuilt in the height of the Great Depression of 1932-1933.

Mission: Develop and nurture a church family that will minister to the needs of the people through the words and teachings of Jesus Christ.
